A year ago, I wrote a blogpost about having tasted the cheese that Ian Treuer was making at Lakeside Farmstead. You can read about it here, but in essence: I came, I ate, I loved (even though the cheese was young and being presented as a trial run). I knew it had potential and I knew that come the time for the big reveal, Ian and the team at Lakeside would have all things where they needed to be.
In October of 2020, the first product officially hit retail shelves around Edmonton. What has happened since then is the focus of my latest article for Eat North, the place to go for all delicious things on Canada’s culinary scene.
