Maps, MArkets and MAtzo BAll Soup

In October 2018, my book Maps, Markets and Matzo Ball Soup: the inspiring life of Chef Gail Hall was published and placed on shelves in Audreys Books on Jasper Avenue in Edmonton.

You’re darn right I’m taking a moment to revel in being placed in the same bookcase as Leonard Cohen!

In the ensuing days, the publisher and Gail’s husband, Jon Hall, did several media interviews including CBC Edmonton A.M. with Mark Connolly, CTV with Stacey Brotzel, and 630 CHED with Ryan Jespersen. Jon, along with Gail’s executive chef, Dave Nicolson, appeared on Global TV with Kevin and Kent, and I did an interview with Jeff Sammut of Sirus XM on Chanel 167 for the Canada Talks show. Liane Faulder wrote about the book and what it was like to write it in an article for the Edmonton Journal.

It was quite the week.

A list of stores carrying the book is at the end of this post (please call to verify, first!) but the book can also be ordered online through the publisher, Q32 Consulting. Just click on the link to get you to the right spot.

There are two covers to choose: one with Gail Hall, the other with a bowl of matzo ball soup. Local stores will carry the book with Gail on the cover. If you order online, you’ll need to state which cover you prefer.

Pick up your copy of the “Gail Hall book” at these restaurants and stores in Edmonton and surrounding area:
