An update on the Yak meat available from Springridge Ranch near Pincher Creek: Ranchers Russ and Melissa Friesen have started their own blog, you can find it at https://www.springridgeranchyakcrossbeef.blogspot.com/ So far there’s still only one place to purchase the meat in Alberta and that’s at Horizon Meats in Calgary. It sure would be wonderful to have a regular supply of it here in Edmonton.

Good to know about the YAK and your reviews… interesting happenings in the foodie blogosphere after the Mack, Sharon, and Jeff Haslam interchange. I noticed CBC staff did a lot of reaching out to see what was going on in the Edmonton Blog seen looking for stories. Good for them. You will do fantastic restaurant reviews… can’t wait!
