Nevin and Kara Fenske are the people you go to when you need a side-dish from the Menu of Life: a lift-me-up, a smile, a laugh, a little sunshine. Since 2011, they’ve also been dishing up award-winning food out of their Drift Food Truck.
The success of the Fenskes’ food truck spurred them on to their new venture, Dovetail Delicatessen, located just north of 107 Ave on 124 Street. The store allows them to run year-round and gives them a dedicated kitchen space to prep for events, festivals and occasional street stops where the food truck will still make appearances.
Dovetail is exactly what you would expect from the Fenskes: great home-made food using fresh ingredients from local sources. The recipes here, as with the truck food, are influenced by their heritage and their travels. It is flavourful goodness served up by the humble, loveable couple who never compromise on quality—in food, and in life.
