Airports: love ’em or hate ’em, they provide fantastic photo opportunities. A flight delay on our recent trip from Seattle to Edmonton via Vancouver had us in the YVR airport longer than anticipated. As I waited, and waited some more, I began to realize how quintessentially Canadian this particular airport was. The colours of our country’s flag were everywhere: red and white at every turn. Maple leaves, maple syrup, toques and t-shirts. Hallways became intriguing corridors; windows and doors revealed a world beyond. I opened Hipstamatic and started snapping.
Voila, Canadiana.
