Even though the Turks and Caicos Islands is a place to go to relax, there’s still plenty to do. On Provo we’ve managed to find a good balance between kicking back and keeping busy. The best of our experiences (by far!) was spending a full day on a boat we chartered through Caicos Dream Tours, a water excursion company owned by Canadian expats, John and Kim Esper.

We lucked out by getting Shaun Dean (the nice Irish kid as he calls himself) as Captain of our boat, and his mate, Robbins. That’s Shaun on the right, Robbins on the far left and my step-son Mitch (who actually looks more Irish than anyone) in the middle. I can’t say enough about the Caicos crew, they delivered an incredible experience, one that will be hard to top.

We explored cays and beaches and walked amongst iguanas.

We snorkeled at three different locations and could’ve snorkeled more – our wish was their command.

The beaches throughout the Turks and Caicos Islands are out of this world.

We dove for conch–well those people who could actually dive, dove–with Robbins and Shaun coming up with enough conch for our lunch which included barbecued chicken, corn, fish and of course, fresh conch salad.
Robbins showed us how to crack the conch.

We couldn’t have asked for a more entertaining, knowledgeable and fun-loving crew.

Thanks to everyone at Caicos Dream Tours for giving us–as the kids keep telling us–“the best day EVER!”
