If you’re itching to bust out of your winter cave and embrace Spring (and, really who isn’t?), then Hot Chefs Cool Beats at the gorgeous priMED Mosaic Centre is where you need to be.

The April 25, 2019 event is a fundraiser to benefit the High School Culinary Challenge, an annual competition that allows students to compete against other high school culinary teams and apply for a full scholarship to NAIT’s culinary program. The Challenge is in its 12th year and to date has awarded 28 scholarships to students in the Capital Region. Read more about this fantastic Challenge here.

If you enjoy any aspect of Edmonton’s food scene, then I urge you to support this event.

We are fortunate to have the culinary program at NAIT, an exemplary training ground for students and one that is recognized and respected across the country. The purchase of a Hot Chefs Cool Beats ticket will ensure that this training can benefit future chefs and the future of the #Yegfood scene.

The evening (as you might expect) is a night of great food and drink, and awesome music.

Here’s who’s cooking…you’ll likely recognize some of your favourite (and Edmonton’s finest) chefs and producers on this list:

Nevin Fenske – Drift Food Truck

A few of us were treated to a prelim tasting event last week and if what we had is any indication of how fantastic this event is going to be, then I can’t wait to see you there.

Nashville Hot Chicken from Northern Chicken

Arancini from Workshop

Charcuterie and condiments by Meuwly’s

“Creampuffs” by the Edmonton Convention Centre (formerly Shaw Conference Centre). Trust me, these alone are worth the price of admission.

Sea Change and more local brewers will be pouring their wares!
